Kim Wallace Ceramic Wall Hanging - Mushroom Medium

Hollow on the inside with a hole, easy and light to hang.

The original model was sculpted by hand, from which a plaster mould has been made to allow the Kim Wallace to reproduce these gorgeous wall decorations. 

Each piece is then created using a technique called slipcasting, where liquid clay is poured into the plaster mould, left to set for the desired thickness and the excess slip poured out.

Meticulously hand brushed with several coats glaze, and fired to stoneware temperatures for maximum strength. 

Each ceramic wall art hanging is made and glazed by hand by the Kim Wallace team of skilled makers in thier Noosa studio.

As the ceramics are handmade variations in colour, glaze and size may occur.  This is part of the beauty of the handcrafted ceramics process.
